Photography Inspiration.

Over the past year through the course i have been doing i have began to grow an interest in more documentary styles of photography. Previously i was all about fashion photography, studio portraits, self portraits all quite constructed and stylized. Having researched into such artists as Nan Goldin and Richard Billingham over the past few years i have began to really admire their fly on the wall insight into their way of life. Both photographers showing worlds of torment with such subjects featured within like alcoholism, drugs and sexuality. I have therefore become more and more drawn towards this "nitty gritty" grimy style of art.
I recently came across, thanks to a friend at college, the works of a young woman called Sandy Kim and was instantly a fan of her work. Through her photographs you feel as though your are part of her life, one of her friends who spends day in day out with her as she travels on tour with bands, visits new york, has relations with her boyfriend and generally enjoys life. I highly advise you check out her work
