Fashion Inspiration...

Right now I am having a severe wardrobe problem, the infamous "lots of clothes but nothing to wear" trauma, something which I constantly seem to struggle with. I never feel I have enough clothes/Shoes and nothing goes well together and I always lack essential basic items. So recently I have come to the conclusion of a complete style overhaul, clearing out a large number of my clothes that I never wear yet continue to horde in my closet (which in time i will be selling on Ebay so watch this space)
My aim was to buy key interchangeable items that I can mix and match easily to ideally never struggle with my regular problem of "i've got nothing to wear with this". Unfortunately this idea has not been as easy as I thought it would be, headed into Newcastle with a list of general ideas, including an array of knitwear, jeans in a variety of colours, black flat pumps and nice simple tops. Yet getting there I was completely bamboozled and did not know where to begin and returned home empty handed.
On returning home I trawled the internet and my favourite fashion blogs for ideas and inspiration on re-vamping my closet in preparation for starting university next month and I have selected a number of my favourite bloggers who's styles have influenced me the most.

I couldn't have written this blog post without featuring the style  of my favourite bloggers. Charlottes frequent use of neutral tones, varieties of textures, fabulous accessories and killer heels allows an effortless yet elegant style to be envious of.

Bekah's blog is another not to miss, with her simply gorgeous style of high street and amazing charity shop finds her shopping style is a big inspiration, not to mention she's two gorgeous cats to oggle over. Thats definitely an added plus.

And how could I not include Alexa Chung? She is just perfect.

What I Wore - 12.08.2011

Ramones T-shirt: Triple S
Vintage Levi Shorts: Brick Lane
Black Leggings: H&M

I decided to try out one of my new pairs of Levi's I got whilst I was in London teamed with an old Ramones Tshirt my brother bought me for my 13th birthday. Such a comfy outfit, perfect for a lazy day around the house.

Totally disgusted by the sheer state of my nails right now, if anybody can recommend any good nail care systems to get nice healthy nails again please let me know as in the space of a week and a half they all broke really far down the nail and are all horrid and split. So today i've decided to hide them underneath OPI Skulls and Glossbones  which if you haven't seen it before is a gorgeous light grey almost taupe colour which is perfect if you're wanting quite subtle nails. For those who do not know me, my nails are nearly always bright colours and often Polka dot or Leopard print so toned down natural nails is certainly a new thing for me.

My typical nail style (apologies for terrible quality those ones were taken on my blackberry)

Panic On The Streets of London

As many of you may know the past weekend there has been riots all over the U.K which started in London. I was infact there at the time, not rioting might i add, but having a long weekend with my parents. Luckily the riots did not effect our trip in any way but my thoughts go out to anybody effected by the recent events. I feel some nice photographs of London are in order to remind you all of how much of an amazing city it actually is.

Making the most of the free wi-fi and catching up on blogs!

Bloggers, say hello to my dad!

And my mum who as usual is hiding her face...

We travelled first class both there and back (at a reasonable price) which included free refreshments! I couldn't help but pick the Chicken Caesar sandwich, my all time favourite.

We popped into Fenwicks on Bond street to use the toilet and I have never seen such a beautiful ladies powder room in my entire life. I literally could have spent my entire day just sitting in there, but I think I may have gotten a few funny looks.

Enjoying Covent Garden and Neals Yard, one of my most favourite areas of London.

This was actually made of plants! so amazing.

Tate Modern

I got very excited when I saw the harry potter bridge

South bank had so much going on, I can't believe i've never been down there before.

There was a massive group of Justin Bieber fans all dressed in purple along the river bank.

I finally got myself a bowler hat after trying to find the perfect one for over a year now. Thank you H&M!

I also managed to blag two pairs of Levi shorts for £10 a piece in Brick Lane! I've never seen them this cheap before so I just knew I couldn't leave them at that price.
